Our former classmate, Liane Aviram, explores the tension between documentation and fiction in installations, digital art and films. In her works, which emerge from a feminist and diasporic perspective, she questions the use of natural resources in everyday objects as well as the relationship between physical labour and capital. Currently, she uses the medium of film to explore the influences of Big Data on agriculture and on the collective understanding of nature. _ The President's Prize of the UdK Berlin is awarded annually to three outstanding students of the visual arts course. The aim is to build a bridge between the educational institution and the art world and to perpetuate the task of promoting young artists in municipal galleries. Galerie Nord | Kunstverein Tiergarten, in cooperation with Berlin University of the Arts, presents the works of two of the 2020 award winners, whose exhibition has been postponed to 2021 due to the Corona pandemic.
